Marketing Manager

The role

The Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Marketing and Innovation by managing and executing a variety of marketing initiatives.  The Marketing Manager will ensure the effective execution of marketing strategies across physical and digital channels, enhancing brand presence, and contributing to the overall business objectives.

the responsibilities

Content Management
Develop and manage diverse content including social media posts, blog articles, email newsletters, video content, managing freelancers and agencies for content creation and production. Tailor content to engage our B2C audience with recipes, educational content, and behind-the-scenes glimpses, inform our B2B audience with business updates and product insights. Direct creative processes in line with brand guidelines and campaign plans. 

Digital Communications
Manage social media accounts, creating content calendars, scheduling posts, community management and tracking key metrics . Manage B2C engagement on Instagram and consider expansion into TikTok, as well as manage B2B communications through LinkedIn and email newsletters. Develop collaborations with complimentary brands, engage with influencers to enhance brand visibility and manage paid social campaigns

Digital Channel Management
Manage our Direct to Consumer website and Amazon storefront. Optimise product pages with compelling descriptions and images to increase conversion rates. Enhance the website’s customer experience, overseeing content management and analytics in partnership with a digital agency, prioritising engagement metrics. 

Customer Marketing
Support the sales team with trade marketing activities for foodservice, wholesale and independent retail channels. Manage development and activation of point of sale, trade media adverts, brochures, leaflets and customer presentations. 

Event Coordination
Support the Head of Marketing with creative designs for B2B and B2C events, oversee logistics and supplier relations, and actively participate in events to bolster brand presence and customer engagement. 

Packaging Coordination
Direct the creation of packaging artwork, ensuring alignment with brand and technical standards. Facilitate approval processes and ensure design accuracy. 

Marketing Collateral
Manage the inventory of marketing materials including leaflets, brochures, and branded merchandise like bags, mugs, and clothing, ensuring they are in line with brand standards and readily available for marketing initiatives. 

Budget Management
Responsible for monitoring and managing marketing budgets for various projects. Ensure that all marketing activities are executed within allocated budgets, raise PO’s, track expenditure and report monthly to optimise financial resources. 

Skills and experience

• A good working knowledge of the UK FMCG food & drink industry. 

• Proven experience managing marketing initiatives on own and as part of a team across physical and digital channels. 

• Proven experience of either large or small consumer product launches.  

• Degree in marketing / communications or related experience. 

• Demonstrable experience in digital marketing and content creation. 

• Demonstrable experience in customer marketing activation, or related experience. 

• Knowledgeable in social media platforms, especially Instagram and LinkedIn. TikTok familiarity is advantageous. 

• Experience in trade and consumer events is advantageous. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages 

• Desirable / useful, although not required: Ability to use creative tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and video editing packages (or willingness to learn).

• Project management skills, setting timelines, managing stakeholders to meet deadlines and ability to juggle and prioritise tasks. 

• Excellent communication skills across all levels and mediums. 

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
