Granola Crispy Cakes

This is an energy boosting take on the traditional cereal crispy cakes from our youth. It’s super sweet but great for a pick-me-up. And a fun cooking activity to do together. You can pick up the Gluten free granolas from Amazon if you’re self isolating.

Ingredients:

 100g Glebe Farm Maple granola – any flavour!
 20g plant based spread or butter
 130g golden syrup
 1 tbsp brown sugar

Directions:

Pop the syrup, sugar and spread/butter in a saucepan and gently heat until melted and combined. Bring to a gentle boil, allowing the mixture to bubble gently for about a minute (without browning)

Remove from the heat and simply stir in the granola.

Press into 12 cake cases and chill in the fridge until set. Serve at room temperature for the best gooey chew!
