ChocOaty Gluten free, dairy free smoothie

A deliciously chilly and chocolaty treat for these lovely spring days whilst self isolating. Nutritious enough to start the day or for a mid home-school energy boosting break treat!

If chocolate flavour is not your thing, or you fancy a change then substitute in a handful of any berries, frozen or fresh, a banana or some nut butter. Or a combination!

Freeze 200ml oat milk to make about 8 cubes at least 4 hours before you start.

Ingredients:

50g of Glebe Farm Gluten Free porridge oats
200ml PureOaty oat drink for soaking
200ml PureOaty oat drink for PureOaty ice cubes
 2tbsp cocoa or cacoa powder
1-2tbsp maple syrup/honey/agave syrup (whatever you have in the cupboard)

Directions:

1

Soak the porridge oats in 200ml of PureOaty for an hour or more, or overnight if you prefer.

2

Put the soaked oats into a jug or blender along with all of the other ingredients except the syrup, reserving 4 of the oat ice cubes.

3

Blitz it up! You should get a good head of froth.

4

Add the syrup little by little to taste. Some people are sweet enough!

5

Pour into 2 glasses and top with the oat ice to keep it nice and chilled.
Enjoy with a straw, paper or re-usable of course!
