The role

Join Glebe Farm Foods as a Finance Manager, reporting to the Head of Finance and collaborating closely with our Sales team. Based at our site in Huntingdon, you’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing commercial and financial reports, as well as providing analytical support during month-end processes. This role emphasises understanding the narrative behind the numbers and driving meaningful outcomes. Dive deep into the details and gain hands-on experience in translating finance into operational reality. Exceptional Excel skills are required for this role, along with a deep technical understanding of manufacturing industrial processes.

the responsibilities

Key aspects of the role include:

• Developing systems to streamline month end process

• Advance the full integration of ERP and Excel modelling for analytics and reporting

• Have comprehensive understanding of financials within the business and provide rapid response to requests from management and facilitate dynamic decision making

• Development of forecasting tools to support senior management team in strategic planning and finance provision

 

In addition, playing a pivotal role in the monthly financial cycle by assisting the Financial Controller in the production of:

• Monthly management accounts

• P & L

• Balance sheets

• Cash Flow

• Prepayment journals

• Accruals & pre-payments

• Payroll

Skills and experience

This role requires the following skills and experience:

• ACCA/ACA qualified or working towards qualification

• Excellent system skills including Excel modelling

• Technical mindset

• Experience of financial management within manufacturing or food processing

• Progressive and conceptual with a desire to innovate

• Effective multi-level communicator
