Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven at 170°C, 325°F, Gas Mark 3. Line a 1lb loaf (400g) tin with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl add the beaten eggs, melted margarine, milk and the golden syrup and mix together, and then blend in the cake mix.
  3. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin. Bake on the top/centre of the oven for 35 minutes.
  4. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before removing from the tin.
